याद है जब आप बच्चे थे और जीवन को घोर आश्चर्य तथा श्रद्धा के भाव से देखते थे? जीवन जादुई और रोमांचक था। छोटी-छोटी चीजें भी आपको बेहद रोमांचक लगती थीं। आप घास पर ओस देखकर मंत्रमुग्ध हो जाते थे। हवा में रंगबिरंगी तितली को उड़ते देखकर आपका मन ललचाने लगता था। ज़मीन पर कोई अजीब पत्ती या रंगीन पत्थर देखकर आप चकित हो जाते थे। दूध का दाँत टूटने पर आपका रोमांच परवान चढ़ जाता था, क्योंकि इसका मतलब था कि उस रात परी आएगी! यही नहीं, आप कई सप्ताह पहले से क्रिसमस की जादुई रात आने का इंतज़ार किया करते थे! हालाँकि आपको ज़रा भी पता नहीं होता था कि सैंटा क्लॉज़ एक ही रात में संसार के हर बच्चे तक उपहार कैसे पहुंचा सकता था, लेकिन किसी तरह वह ऐसा कर लेता था और उसने आपको कभी निराश नहीं किया।

Although you had no idea how Santa Claus could bring gifts to every child in the world in one night, he somehow did so and he never disappointed you.
