होम्योपैथ अपनी पद्धति का ऐलोपैथी के साथ गोट-जोड़ा नहीं करता। ‘आयुर्वेद शब्द और ‘एलीपैथी ये दोनों शब्द ही भिन्न हैं, और इनके अर्थों में तो जमीन और आसमान का अन्तर है। इतनाही नहीं अपितु छत्तीस का सम्बन्ध है। फिर दोनों कैसे एक हो सकते है। इसलिये इस प्रकार को मिलाकर पुस्तकं लिखना-प्राचीन ग्रन्थों के प्रति न्याय में नहीं समझता। साथ ही आधुनिक विज्ञान प्रति दिन उन्नति पर है, आज से पच्चीस साल के पहले के सिद्धान्त-आज बहुत कुछ बदल गय; आज के सिद्धान्त-कल नहीं बदलेंगे यह कोई नहीं कह सकता। ऐसी अवस्था में इन पुस्तकों में केवल अग्रेजी पुस्तकों का उलथा देना युक्तिसंगत में नहीं समझता।।
इन सब बातों का विचार करके मैंने आयुर्वेद के दृष्टिकांग का विचार करते हुए विद्यार्थियों को दृष्टि से, उनकी रुचि के अनुसार यद्द अनुवाद किया है। यह अनुवाद आइ से बीस साल पहले का है, इस संस्करण में भी इसकी पुनरावृत्ति नहीं कर सकता केवल कुछ थोड़े से स्थानों को छोड़कर।
